The Bish beat Louis with help from the officials

The Bish started the game well keeping the ball quite easily. Louis got there 1st tallow card of the game when Bish midfielder Jack Coyne went passed Fergus McCormack who cynically pulled him down and got a yellow card for it. The game was very quite then for a while with both teams having shots that didn’t really trouble the keepers. The Bish were keeping the ball well but the Louis defence were holding there positions very well. The Bish the hit a shot in anger from over twenty yards because they couldn’t get any nearer to the Louis goal. The shot from Josh Kennedy was harrowing into the top corner only for a magnificent save from Louis goalkeeper Adam Byrne who put the ball onto the crossbar with a magnificent one handed save. The final few minutes in the 1st half were quite uneventful with both teams nullifying each other out.

The 2nd half started off much like the 1st half with the Bish keeping the ball with Louis keeping them out. The Bish then went close again with winger B Brennan putting another shot onto the Louis post. !0 minutes after the Bish hitting the post they won a penalty when Louis centre back Justin Kelly talking down midfielder Jack Coyne just inside the box. The Bish winger Conor Melody took the penalty but it was brilliantly saved by Louis keeper Adam Byrne. Five minutes later jack Coyne looped a ball over the Louis defence to striker Josh Macverey who was offside but still put the ball into the Louis net. The linesman had his flag up for offside but then put it down. The referee then disallowed the goal. He then went over to the linesman who had his flag up again for offside. The linesman then told the referee to allow the goal. A minute later Louis striker Robbie Gill took a shot from over thirty yards it had beaten the goalkeeper but it went just over the crossbar. Louis pilled on the pressure but try as they might they couldn’t find a way through. In the final minute Louis had a throw in there whole team was inside the box. The Bish cleared the ball to their striker J Macverey who ran the ball into the Louis goal from his own half. The game didn’t finish well for Louis with defender Cillian Finn getting a straight red card for verbally abusing the referee. A spirited Louis performance was undone by the official’s mistakes.
