AGB 2nd match in the Junior championship was played in Arklow on Thursday night last. As the old sane goes goals win matches.


The game started off at a quick pace with an early score from both sides with Hollywood corner forward Ross Tyrell scoring an early point from play before the score was cancelled out by AGB centre forward Richie Neary got a score from play. Hollywood started get on top in midfield and just to prove a point midfielder  John Mooney got a fine long range point .Hollywood then went on a meaningful attack and after some great interplay corner forward Tyrell got the ball straight in front of the AGB goal and tapped it into an empty net. AGB then got a score back through midfielder Darragh Culleton. Hollywood tagged on two more scores one from wing back Nathan O Sullivan and full forward John Burke AGB then got a score back through corner forward Gary Fennel. Both teams then swapped scores just before with Hollywood full forward John burke scoring from play before AGB got one back through early sub Padraig Kelleher leaving the score 1-5  to 0-4 at half time.


Hollywood came out after half time firing on all cylinders getting a few scores early on in the half through Tyrell and on from centre forward Brian Flynn.
Kelleher then got another point for AGB. John Mooney then popped up with another fine score from play. This score made AGB start playing they knew if they lost this game they would be out of the championship. AGB wing forward Shane Donohoe started the mini revival by fisting a point over the bar when in hindsight he could have went for goal. AGB started to get on top then with sub Ross Hynes scoring another point in the mini revival before centre forward Neary getting another. John Mooney stopped the mini revival with another great point. AGB then another score through sub Jason Redmond. This late revival came in vain with the effort AGB put in they were running on empty when Hollywood tagged on points from the aforementioned Mooney Flynn and Burke. AGB got  went on one last attack and sub Kelleher got another point. Just to prove a point at the end Hollywood midfielder Mooney got another point from play to make sure of the Hollywood win.
