Carnew came out on top of what was a high scoring final in Avoca at noon on Saturday.

The Emmets opened the scoring with Sylvo Pekarick before Kilcoole fired 1-2 in response with 1-1 coming from Lucas O’ Toole and the other point came from the boot of Jayden Hamilton. Carnew emulated the scoring amount with Jamie Curry scoring 1-1 before a free from Daniel Lawrence gave them the lead at the first whistle.

Nathan Sharpe buried a goal to extend the lead before Curry added another white flag. Adam O’ Brien fried a point over in response. Lawrence and Sharpe added two more points, before 1-1 in response with O’ Brien narrowing the gap. The lead was extended again with another major this time from Cathal Faulkner

Lawrence and Peckarick added another 1-2 with Daniel getting 1-1 of this tally. Kilcoole response was a point from Cillian Corcoran before the 2nd water break. The final quarter was a one-sided affair with Carnew adding another 1-5 to there scoring with 1 point in response from the opposition with Corcoran adding another point to his name. The scores came from the boots of Lawrence and Curry, with the rest coming from Eoin Wafer who finished the scoring for Carnew
