A scoring frenzy took place in the first round of the Wicklow Senior Ladies Championship.

 Pats hit the opening point of the game through full forward Laura Manley, from the resulting kick out AGB made their way up the pitch and levelled the game through wing forward Ann Marie Keegan.  Pats started to put there foot on the throttle after the levelling score scoring 2-7 without reply. The Pats forwards were on fire from the word go hitting score after score from play. The opening score of this scoring frenzy came from corner forward Emer McNulty. With the Pats defence been on top the ball kept coming into the Pats forward line this resulted in three more points from play two coming in quick succession from corner forward Clodagh Fox. Centre forward Niamh Caffrey burst through the defence and slotted over the bar to extend the lead. Pats then hit over there first dead ball of the game through midfielder Sarah Delahunt. With lead getting wider with nearly every attack, pats then managed to find the back of the net after some great team play which resulted in wing forward Orla Redmond firing into the net from close range. Fox and Manley added two more scores from play. Fox fired the ball into the back of the AGB net to basically finish the game off. As the game was nearing half time AGB went on the attack looking for scores and against the run of play corner forward Jessie McElerhon managed to get her foot on the ball around the square which resulted the ball going into the net. Delahunt added another free to finish the scoring in the opening half.



With a few positional changes at the break AGB flew out of the blocks straight from the throw in. Ann Marie Keegan drove through the Pats defence she laid it off to Orla Byrne who calmly slotted it into the back of the net. AGB hit two frees in quick succession through Georgie Canavan and Aine O ‘Reilly this reduced Pats lead to 6 points. After that initial opening scoring salvo pats made their way back into the game scoring at will again to finish off the contest. Pats midfielder Delahunt Really coming to the fore firing over 3 frees and a fine long range point. Redmond added another point in the middle of Delahunt scoring spree. Pats were very clinical in this game with Manley getting her first score of the second half before midfielder Jess Lyons opened her account with another score from play. The away side hit their 3rd goal of the game through sub Niamh McGettigan who fired into the roof of the net from 21 yards. Redmond dissected the posts again from play before Delahunt fired over another free. AGB fired over one last consolation score through Byrne again. Delahunt responded with another point from play, before pats hit the net for open final time through Niamh Caffrey before wing forward Saoirse O’ Reilly hit the final point of the game.
