Thirteen points from Adam Barrett proved pivotal as the home side ran out three point winners after a spirited comeback from the visitors.
It was sharpshooter Barrett who started off the scoring for the home side as he raised the first orange flag of the day. Within a minute his centre forward counterpart Conor Hession had narrowed the gap. Another two pointer minutes later from Barrett had his side a goal up.
On the five minute mark the tie was level when Liam Smyth burst through before finding the back of the net.
Kilmane squandered a goal chance through Luke Muniz as both defences were. The side in green and red led by Mayo player Hugh O’Loughlin hit their third three pointer just after the ten minute mark.
The opposition were still battling with youngster Hession providing a constant threat along with Conor Mallee.
Not to be outdone Michael Hession slotted over from a narrow angle .
The east Mayo side had a second goal chance which eventually resulted in a fisted effort from Paul Kelly.
Playing against the wind didn't bother the home side as they fired over another pair of two pointers from the same men before Finn O’Loughlin extended the gap with five left in the half.
A Barrett double first Rory and then Adam finished there sides scoring inside another Mallee effort.

The second half started with yet another effort from the home side's center forward. A trio of points from Fionnan Burke kept his side in convention.Just as it looked like Kilti were making a comeback O’Loughlin produced another spectacular two pointer after a Rory Barrett score.
The Barrett brothers were on fire slotting over scores to add four to their side's tally.
Just as it looked like the game was over Liam Lydon’s side produced a spirited comeback with a Burke score before sub Oisin Mulderrig managed to direct a ball into the net. To narrow the gap even more Hession added three more to his account before veteran Brian Gallagher had four between the sides. A Barrett free seemed like the insurance score but Hession raised one final orange flag to leave a goal between the sides at the final whistle.

Motm Adam Barrett: 0-13. From the opening minute he was clinical, he hit one wide in the whole game even won some ball around the middle when his side needed it in the last ten minutes.

Hugh O’Loughlin; The mayo player was a colossus in the middle of the park winning marks anytime the ball came near him with scoring some outrageous two pointers.
Conor Hession: Same as Barrett the centre forward was clinical for his side ensuring they were in the game right up until the final whistle.
Rory Barrett. The full forward was overshadowed by his brother but still managed to get some vital scores along with working hard around the middle third winning breaks at vital times.
