Aghamore 1-14
Crossmolina 0-17

Aghamore
A late free from Adam Byrne saw both sides going home with a point from Aghamore on Friday night.
In what was a blistering start for the home side they raced into an early lead. An early Cillian Mooney point saw them take the lead. After that a change in position saw Brendan Harrison move into the full forward line. Within minutes he had fired over two points in between efforts from Liam Lavin giving his side an early five point lead. The tide was stemmed when Conor Loftus fired over one of his trademark efforts.
Just before the quarter hour mark Tom O’Flaherty troubled the umpires again.
Moments later a long ball found its way to Derry’Óg Cox who caught the ball before sliding it into the opposition net.
This kicked Crossmolina into gear as two frees from Mahedy and a fine effort from captain Mikie Loftus had narrowed the gap before half -time.
Once the game resumed and playing with the wind the gap was down to a goal with another placed ball from Mahedy before Kevin Mulhern made his way from full back to split the posts.
With ten minutes gone in the half the gap was back out to four as James Lyons along with Harrison’s third and the industrious Jack O’Connor found their range.
As the half went on the breeze started to drop which helped Lavin slot over his third of the game.
The opposition then managed to have the gap back down to less than a goal with Diarmuid Coggins raising the first orange flag of the day followed by yet another Mahedy free.
With the game right in the melting pot both centre back’s took center stage as Conor Hunt extended his sides lead. The next play saw Loftus this time Conor copied his counter park with his side's second two pointer leaving the minimum between the teams.
Then as tension mounties substitute for the Deel Patrick Leddy was given his marching orders for an off the ball incident with Harrison.
The tie was then level going down the home straight with another dead ball from Mahedy.
The shootout continued as Mahedy gave his side the lead before Lavin leveled it moments later.
In added time an Oisin Deane fisted effort looked like the North Mayo side would come away with two points.
Then upstepped goalie Adam Byrne to level the game from just inside the two point arc.
