A pair of goals from Cormac Noone midway through the second half proved vital as Ardanree came away with the win on Satuday afternoon.
From the outset it was clear that the north Mayo side came to play with Charlie Beale raising a white flag, within minuted the had a green flag raised when Dylan Sweeney burst through giving his side a four point lead inside five minutes.
A further two scores from John Timlin and Seaghan Duffy had them well in control. This early flurry woke the home team as Cailin Joyce from a mark followed by a pair of scores from Zac Collins had a goal between the sides on the quarter hour mark.
Islandeady kept pushing forward and had the minimum between the sides as Brendan Gibbons and Joyce found the target.
Just as it looked like a battle would break out Ethan Convey slotted over for the opposition. Then the game's second major game when Jonathan Doherty found himself in the right place to find the back of the net.
A final point of the half came from Collins leaving only four points between the sides at the half time whistle.
After the interval Collins and substitute Ryan McNamara had raised white flags in between another Convey strike from play.
Both sides then created clear cut goal chances but both goalies and defences stood strong. Ardanree made two subs at half time and within ten minutes they both started to make a difference. It was first Cathair Tighe who split the posts before Cathal Noone was found unmasked at the far post for his side's third goal of the game. The momentum briefly stooped as Sean Collins fired over a free before Timlin added another set of scores. Just before the final quarter it was that man Noone who doubled his goal account for the game before Sweeny fired another effort between the posts.
The final quarter turned into an enthralling affair as Ardanree goalkeeper was to the fore as he made some fine saves. The first a point blank save from Seamie Lally. Down the far end Timlin and Sweeney were clinical with two more scores.
After another fantastic save from Connoly the dam finally broke as McNamara slid a ball under his body and into the net.
A couple of final efforts from Convey, Noone, Timlin and a goal from Jason Crean put some gloss to this performance from Ardanree.

MOTM: Ronan Connolly: The Ardnaree goalie was excellent especially in the last twenty minutes making three saves. His kickouts were imperious from the opening few minutes as well.
Other nominations: Zac Collins; Played well inside scoring from every angle while setting up scores as well.
Ethan Convey; Good from frees and worked hard was an out ball in every play and a great kickout option for Connolly.
Levi Barrett; The late sub played well for the home side was on the ball for nearly every play and set up some scored while defending well at times.
