Tipperary Vs Wicklow
Time: 4: 30
Location Semple Stadium Thurles
TV Channel: GAA GO
This Saturday we will see last year’s Munster champion’s go up against Wicklow in the 2nd round of games in the NFL Division 3 South.
Both sides are coming off opening day defeats against Limerick and Offaly, respectively.
Davy Burke and his charges will be hoping to get more out of there full forward Seanie Furlong who on his day would trouble any defence in the country. Furlong was kept scoreless in last week’s game as Offaly played two sweepers in front of him to curtail his threat.
Youngsters Andy Maher and Conor Byrne were to the fore last weekend. Burke and his management will hope these lads can keep up their great form along with their experienced players who need to step there game up if they want to stay in the division that they just got promoted too.
Munster champions Tipp will be looking to bounce back from what was a disappointing result last week.
Unfortunately, Tipp will be without powerhouse of a wing back Robbie Kiely for the rest of the season as he suffered a major tear in his hamstring last week.
David Power will yet again be looking to last year’s All- Star Conor Sweeney to carry be their main scorer in chief. If he has his companion from last season Michael Quinlivan beside him in the forward line it will be very difficult for any team to stop them.
