The opening few minutes of this final was a great advertisement for score taking. Within the opening minutes Barndarrig had hit a goal and point both coming from the boot of Oisin Doyle. Kilmac’s  response was immediate with three points in a row the first a free from Bryn Kelly along with an effort from play, before Cian Murphy Quinn added a third point for his side. The final scores of the half were all white flags from Barndarrig as Doyle, O Snodaigh and Kitson added to there sides tally before the final whistle.

As the wind died down in the second half it was Barndarrig who opened the scoring again through the aforementioned Doyle.
